Anybody have a link to a PDF version of the SC installation guide (TRD or GM)? I want to send it to my father to look over.

Hey Lancer, my brother said we may be able to get some garage space in Kaukauna. My brother works for WIR during the season and knows the owners and operators VERY well.

When do think you will be supercharged? I'm such an impatient person, i would be going nuts right now with the S/c just sitting there NOT in my car, good luck though.

I dunno. I'm hoping within the next two weeks. I'm still waiting on some parts and such. I think this weekend I'll be installing the stock airbox and removing the Unichip to put those up for sale. Hopefully install next weekend or the weekend after. We'll see. It is driving me nuts. It's sitting on my living room floor taunting me.

My father has looked through the instructions and nothing really intimidated him. The only question he had was on the crankshaft pulley. It says to use a certain service tool to unbolt it. Then you replace the bolt and torque it to 150 ft/lb. How did you guys go about this?

That's a weird sized socket, sort of like a huge torx nut.I borrowed the socket from a buddy of mine, and you need an air powered tool to get that off, because it's torqued to 150lbs.I installed the s/c first and replaced that bolt a week later,so you can get away without it till you either hit a shop to do it or find the socket to fit it.

The problem wasn't getting the old one off,it was the socket type for the new crank bolt that's in the kit.I forget what type it was now,but it wasn't standard. And Petrucci, did you get that crank bolt in the kit that you got.Did you also get the Loctite for that bolt.

I think it is 160F. 71c should equate to that, I believe. You'll need the TRD one. Don't even mess with some AutoZone knock-off.

Maybe,it does seem more durable than most.I used the TRD one that was in my kit,but it's an older box and says the 3.4L v6 Camry.Hopefully we won't have to worry about it for a few years. This will be my first winter with the s/c,so I hope for no problems, but the s/c gets hot pretty quick,so I don't foresee any problems. To be safe,I will plug the block heater in the winter just as a precaution.

You could just temporarily attach a vacuum/boost gauge to the windshield to observe boost levels. This would verify that all is well after the install and that your getting the correct amount of boost, 7.5 lbs peak I believe. The tube for the gauge would attach somewhere after the S/C or in a high pressure area of the intake.

Yeah, you need to figure out where to mount the guage first. The rest is easy! You can either tap into one of the boost lines off the manifold, or use the little port that's already in the intake manifold. It's just happens to be the same size thread. Then just cover it with some sort of heat shield and push the hard line through the firewall. You'll also need to find a power source for the light in your guage for night driving. We can do that at my house. ( the gauge install, not the s/c install )I got a basic autometer boost guage with a red light inside. I'd like to change it to a black face so it matches the a/f guage a little better.HURRY up installing the s/c!! It's gonna get cold REALLY soon!

But the Unichip will also be for sale. I'll probably post it this weekend........assuming the SC install goes as planned.

CAI/Catback Exhaust. I'm sure Brad at NeverEnough would load a new map for you if you wanted. I paid $515, probably going to sell it for $450. It's been on my car for a little over a month. If you're not running premium yet then I'd start.......clear out all that sub-91 crap from your tank

If you want to run Map B. Map A is for regular fuel, B is 91 and above. Premium is well worth it. I actually got better mileage after switching to premium and getting the Unichip.......it was quite weird, but everything runs a lot more efficient right now. I usually average about 27-28, now I average 30-31. It's only like 10 cents more per gallon. Map B is totally worth it.
