Scion supercharger?

Post by 4azdmunky »

So this looks like it would fit our cars, anyone look at these yet? Really its nothing more than a turbo with the exhaust hooked to a belt:http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...sting

hmmm, interesting idea. But I don't think the TC's engine is a 1zz-fe. I think it's a 1JZ or something.

The Scion TC has a 2,362 cc 2.4 liters in-line 4 front engine with 88.5 mm bore, 96 mm stroke, 9.6 compression ratio, double overhead cam, variable valve timing/camshaft and four valves per cylinder 2AZ-FE Unleaded fuel 87 Fuel economy EPA highway (mpg): 30 and EPA city (mpg): 23 Multi-point injection fuel system 14.5 gallon main unleaded fuel tank Power: 119 kW , 160 HP SAE @ 5,700 rpm; 163 ft lb , 221 Nm @ 4,000 rpm And, NO, that supercharger wont work unless you have brackets to mount it and a creative way to hook up the pulley. It's not very big either. Probly only get 25 more hp near redline.Get this one instead:http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...QrdZ1$999 right now!

WOW thats not a bad price. How come that didnt come up when i searched by "vibe supercharger"? I search several times a week with that search criteria and usually pull back crap like the electric supercharger.

It must have been on an early '05 with cable throttle. It doesn't say if the car was auto or manual. If you are going to bid, you should clarify that with the seller. I bought a set of front calipers with pads (like new)for my truck from them for $60.00 shipped. They are reliable to deal with.

(from the limited amount of research I have done) The only thing that looks like we might need (if you dont already have) is exhaust upgrade to 2.25-2.5".For 05 DBW, someone was making adapter plates for the DBW TB. Oh, and a new belt.
