Do I get this right?

Post by Nemo6321 »

According to the car-nuts at http://www.sportcompactcarweb.com/proje ... matrix/the installation of turbo on regular/gt Vibe/Matrix is a pain due to lack of space for the plumbing?Does that mean that the supercharger is the only sencible way to go for us? Further, does SC kill engine faster? If so, what can be done to aliviate the problem? Anybody thought of good exaust sytem to use with SC?How about good intake to use with SC and good exaust?Supped up Pulleys with all of the above?Anybody trying any of that? Or going to go on a limb and speculate about that?

Does that mean that the supercharger is the only sencible way to go for us?You only read part 1 of that story. Try reading part 2 where they actually install a turbo: http://www.sportcompactcarweb.com/proje ... ojmatrixIt doesn't look like they had any major space issues to me.quote:Further, does SC kill engine faster? If so, what can be done to aliviate the problem?Only if it's not installed correctly or the engine is abused. Correct installation and regular maintenance should be all it needs.http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id ... te:Anybody thought of good exaust sytem to use with SC?There are a few good aftermarket exhaust kits. Yes, one would be a good idea.http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id ... 1quote:How about good intake to use with SC and good exaust? It's unknown if the CAI's out now will work with the supercharger. I think they would but that's just a guess. We'll have to wait until the supercharger is released to the public some time early next year.http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id ... ote:Supped up Pulleys with all of the above? Not required but the always help. They will help an non-boosted engine as well.http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id ... ad?id=1376
