vibe door electronic connectors

Post by bratboy »

hey there, im looking at replacing some of the doors on my 06 vibe. i found a car that is an 05 that's the same colour so im thinking easy swap right? someone told me about a year ago that the electrical connectors from an 03 or 04 were not the same as the ones connecting in an 06. id rather not have to cut and splice anything. does anybody know about the connector variations?

Yes, it's possible it has a different wiring harness. I just checked Toyota's parts system for the Matrix and there was a change in 2004. Go to this site to check it out: http://www.japan-parts.eu/toyota/us/

We have a 2008 vibe and just got an 2003 door to replace it. Put it on and noticed the 08 has 9 pin connector and the 03 has 7.

Anyone know what the wiring is and if I can swap the connector and leave 2 off, what are the 2 extra for on the 08?
