Corolla stereo for '09 base?

Post by MountainVibe »

Does anyone have experience dropping an OEM Corolla touch screen stereo (see attached) into a '09 or '10 base? This strikes me as a good deal, though I wonder if my money might be better spent elsewhere.

The 2009+ Corolla and 2009+ Matrix/Vibe dash is completely different. That radio won't fit in the dash opening of the Vibe. Also, Toyota backup cameras run on 6V power instead of 12V like every other automotive camera in the world.

Spend your money elsewhere. Here is what I did in my 09 base: viewtopic.php?f=30&t=45247&p=513961#p513922

Thanks! Glad I didn't make what would have proven to be a foolish impulse purchase.
