Does anyone have experience dropping an OEM Corolla touch screen stereo (see attached) into a '09 or '10 base? This strikes me as a good deal, though I wonder if my money might be better spent elsewhere.
2009 | 1.8 L base | 5M | Carbon Gray Metallic | ~108,000 km
K&N intake, AEM filter. TRD lowering springs, strut brace & sway bar. Nokian WRG3s. Matrix rims, roof rack & floor mats. Morimoto fog lights (install of stalk and relay pending).
The 2009+ Corolla and 2009+ Matrix/Vibe dash is completely different. That radio won't fit in the dash opening of the Vibe. Also, Toyota backup cameras run on 6V power instead of 12V like every other automotive camera in the world.
Thanks! Glad I didn't make what would have proven to be a foolish impulse purchase.
