no aux chord what to do?

Post by fordj1 »

I have an 2006 Pontiac Vibe Gt. It isn't compatible with an aux chord. How can I play music from my phone to my car?

Welcome to genvibe!

The easiest thing would be to purchase a Bluetooth FM transmitter for around $15 USD, though the fancier models are closer to $20 USD.

If your phone doesn't use Bluetooth, most of the FM transmitters use USB cables to charge and to connect your phone at the same time.

You got the stock head-unit right?

The easiest option would be to get an FM modulator which will play your AUX input over a chosen FM channel. Doesn't work the best all the time though.

Hardest would be to hard wire an aux input or switch into your head-unit. I would read up here for some steps.

Replace the whole radio with aftermarket that supports AUX, USB, and Bluetooth music streaming. Go to crutchfield.com and they throw in the wiring harness and dash kit you'll need for the install. It's super easy.
