CELICA GTS TO VIBE GT ECM. WILL IT WORK?

Post by 302LVR »

Hey guys. I was wondering if a celica gts ecm will work on an 03' Vibe gt being that they're both 2zz powered? I may be having issues with my ecm and saw a gts at my local junkyard the other day so was planning on picking it up but i'm not sure if they're compatible. Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks.

Probably way to late for a response, but no, it wouldn't work. You need a Vibe GT ECU. I think you could get away with an 04 ECU in your 03, but the 03 is the preferred model. I don't believe that even a Matrix ECU would work.

Thanks for the feedback. I was considering getting another ecm cuz i thought mine went bad after an accident since the car would crank but wouldn't fire up. Did a compression test shortly after n found out i have a blown head gasket n that's why the car won't start.
