Phone mount for 09 manual

Post by MountainVibe »

Does anyone have experience using this ProClip mount with a phone holder in their 09/10 manual? I'm curious to know if it's easy for the driver to see the device, if the mount location causes any interference, e.g. with shifting, and how passengers feel about audio and power cables dangling on their side of the dash. http://www.proclipusa.com/dashboard-mou ... torright=0

I looked at the ProClip, but $30USD plus shipping for a piece of plastic is a bit rich.

I use a magnetic mount on the other side of the steering wheel, that I assembled from some other mounts. When the phone is in place, it blocks the mirror controls, but I never touch those so it's perfect for me. This is the part that fixes to the dash, then you can use whatever you want on the end because it's the same size ball as Garmin uses. https://www.amazon.com/IG-PSTARA-i-Trek ... 00BLSBYPK/
