Aftermarket radio with Monsoon Moon+Tunes subwoofer

Post by striker1211 »

I have had a Pioneer head in my car for two years since I bought it. I have been sending the high level speaker output from the Pioneer unit to the factory amp. It has always had a slight hiss at 0 volume but I had accepted it and got used to it. Now I have a new android head unit and the hiss at 0 volume is unbearable. This new head unit has RCA line-out for front and rear. Am I correct in the assumption that I could just use a simple RCA-to-speakerwire adapter ( http://www.amazon.com/Rockford-Fosgate- ... B009B8EJYU" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; ) straight to the +/- of each speaker connection on metra harness and be fine? I know the scoshe adapters are usually used but I have read the wires like to pop out and I am also very very low on space in the dash. This head unit has a LOT of wires (USB/gps/wifi/aux-ins, etc) to cram back in the dash. Thanks :)
