Rear USB Power

I decide to install rear USB power on the bottom back of the center console for my power hungry backseat drivers. It is easier to place on the lower left or right as a result of the rear cup holder; however you could center higher up it but will take more time and effort. The rear lower portion of the CC is a separate panel and pops off to facilitate wiring and install.

Power and ground are supplied by the absent 12V center console circuit which is covered in the above thread. Wiring is fed through the rear of the CC from the USB Socket and through the mounting hole for the absent 12V power and connected to the circuit with crimp connectors or soldered. You need to solder direct to the USB Socket because of space.

Dual USB charger socket was similar to this but found on Ebay for under $6 shipped:
