Pulling wires to door through rubber door boot

Post by Derf »

Part of a series of modifications to the front doors. From many of the installs I have done, the Vibes door boot is one of the smallest, with tight bends, making it hard to fish wires. Below is a video outlining some tips to pull wire without damaging your door boot or other wires. The part I did not show, the entrance into the boot from interior of the car, is large and able to be accessed next to the deadman pedal (or clutch). I was able to run one 16g wire for ground and four 20g signal wires. Might have been able to run another 2 20g wires, but would have been tight.

Did this heading into summer, so the previously installed sound deadening was malleable and able to be reattached without ripping or deforming.
