This is sort of a silly question... but here goes. I bought an iPod2Car about a month ago and installed it thanks largely to the excellent helpful threads on here! It's absolutely awesome, I can't believe I was using an FM transmitter for so long... But here's the question: When I use the radio to skip songs, it moves my theoretical track count up one and when it gets to T99 I can't skip forward anymore without skipping back 99 times. Anybody else run in to this? Is there a setting somewhere so that I can put it on "repeat"? I imagine if I had an actual CD player and was playing an actual CD it would start again at track 1 after it reached the end? I have an '06 AWD with all the standard stuff (no moons or tunes or anything)
Hey Polar--I have the iPod2Car too--it's great, I love it. I guess I just use my iPod to change songs--I rarely ever remember that I can use the car's radio. I never thought about what would happen past song 99.
Nope. I dont believe this is a limitation of the Ipod2Car adapter though, but of the Standard AC Delco deck that GM uses. While a lot of newer radios on the market actually allow pretty decent 2 way communication with the ipod, allowing for the deck to display Song info. However, for the standard GM radio's it is a simple 1 way communcation. The radio simply sends the signals to the ipod and the ipod complies. And considering that this isn't through a standard data port, But really a "Hack" to the disk changer, it would not allow for any mroe functions than the 6 disc changer would.
