Help Shorted out my Stereo

Post by cibomatto »

I did the DUMBEST thing ever. I was fooling around with the cigarette lighter in my car . When I plugged it in it got stuck so I tugged on it really heard and pulled the whole thing off...I took a small screw driver to seperate the lighter with the encasing and a spark flew at me and all of the sudden my radio died.. Man that was dumb. I am hoping this can be fixed by changing a fuse.. anyone have any idea on how I can fix this??thanks..

cigarette lighter and radio are both powered by the CIG fuse in the fuse bliock that is up under the dash. Make sure you have the cigarette lighter outlet problem stabilized before you bother to replace the fuse. You should replace the fuse with the same value fuse. There is probably a spare for it in the under hood fuse block if you need one, don't forget to replace it if you use one of the spares.btw, you still owe me a bunch of CP's
