Replacement parts 2003

Post by crystal79 »

Still driving my amazing 2003 with 130000 on it. First tow truck ride last week. Mechanic told me he can no longer really get replacement parts for the car?? Is that True? Kind of scary to think it could break down far away from home, and no one can fix It! ANY one know the answer? What do people buy after a Vibe? I have only fixed the air conditioner and a piece of exhaust pipe in 15 years...

What parts are you looking for? Have you checked http://www.rockauto.com ?

Toyota made over 450k+ of these cares in the 10ish years it was available. Plus another million+ Corolla/Matrix cars.

Can't find parts? That statement is a red flag that the guy knows nothing about cars. Find yourself another mechanic. The Corolla is little changed over the past 15+ years. There are gazillions (technical term) still on the road and in junk yards worldwide. Start with http://www.car-part.com/ and if not there, call your local junk yard.

Seems a chipmunk ate thru the gas supply line near the engine. So, for now, I don't need any parts. Good to know parts are Available! Thanks for your input, guys! Appreciate it!
