2005 Vibe - Front Brake Dust/Splash Shield availability

Post by vandeda »

Good evening! The front brake dust/splash shields have rusted out on my 2005 FWD Vibe (base model). GM has discontinued them (part numbers 88970125 and 88970126). I have not seen any aftermarket units either. Are these really unavailable? Does anyone know of any other sources other than a junk yard?

Have you checked the parts on the same year's Toyota Corolla? These may be generic parts shared between these vehicles.

Should be able to get them for a Corolla/Matrix. I think RockAuto has them.

As zbyers said, here is a link:

If not a direct fit, these should be close enough that only minor modification would be required to make them work. At $19.70 for both front, it is worth a shot.

The Dorman shields work. I'm not sure why Dorman doesn't list them as compatible with the Vibe though.
