Air Flow

Post by dbart897 »

Hello Everyone,

I have a 2004 Pontiac Vibe, I have had it for about a year and a few months. I have had the same issues as a lot of others with the EVAP. I have had the smoke test done and no luck. But my main concern right now is that i don't know anything about HVAC. I pulled my dash apart and the knob thats controls where the air will flow works, but the air is not flowing where it should. Can anyone help with my problem?

Thanks so much,
Diamond

Thankfully I haven't had to dig into the Vibes frail HVAC control system. Possibly the dash switch that controls air direction options is disconnected from it's actuator cable. This may be helpful:

My bet is the damper door actuator has a stripped gear. Common problem. viewtopic.php?t=3435
