I haven't had any problems with my 2003 GT. It's been great, just the paint chips maybe a little worse than other cars. I'm going on 49k miles, stock clutch still seems fine, original brakes were over 50% left when I had it inspected a couple months ago, gets 28-33mpg, and is a blast to drive!

now I just have a 4 position dial that I can spin, and open up to whatever position I want it at, and let it go. It is so easy.Sorry, but that freakin half stop thing really irritated the hell out of me. Like I'm going to close my head in the roof or something? Come on.

I love my GT...though sometimes I mis-clutch and stall and feel like an idiot - but I don't blame that on the car, just my giant clod-hopper boots I wear to work that get stuck on the foot rest sometimes...and this story:So, it was saturday night and I'm picking up my kid and his girlfriend from the Fall Dance. I'm sitting there pointing up the hill waiting until they and like 3,427,782 kids come pouring out of the dance hall. My fares get in the car and while the sea of peoples (all dressed as cowboy-movie extras as per the theme of the dance) and tide of other-awaiting-parental-chauffer-vehicles pass by I am standing on the brake and clutch.Well, my brake/gas foot (that would be the one on the right) goes numb. It's my turn to part the people-seas and car-tides and I toe the gas. Except my foot is numb. I can't feel the gas pedal, rev it up to 6k rpms before I realize it (I had the stereo up loud) and all the kids on the curb in my way jump and move like I'm a psycho (slightly true). I turn the stereo down, tell my fares I'm going to stall, jump out of the car an announce that I'm your father and we are a family of car-stalling dorks, punch the gas, pop the clutch and screech out of my waiting-spot only to slam on the brakes 50' down the driveway. At this point my foot is now tingly in pain because the blood is rushing back in, I touch the gas, stall the GT, laughter erupts from the back seat, I restart the beast, gun it out of the lot, hit the lift seconds later and that's the end of this story. The reverse beeper inside the car drives me nuts, but entertains all my guests, so I won't change it.And, this one time at band-camp....

I have had my 04 GT for about 3 months. Had lots of problems with the dealer doing damaging things to my car but other than that I love it. The only issues I have with the car is that I am getting realy poor gas mileage and the motor seams to be running rough and sometime knocks and ticks ( Nosie ) . And thats my main worries about the car. The gas mileage and the motor issues. I guess the mileage is around 11-13 liters per 100 km and the dealer did a mileage test on it and they got 6.8 liters per 100 km. I realy don't know how they came up with that number but they couldn't tell me everything!?!Could be from the dealer over filling the oil 2 times and they said it wasn't damaging at all LOL right!. There are other things that are an issue with the car like the dash making alot of nosie after 4000 RPM and the paint as I see everone is having issues with.

91 sometimes but mostly 94. But I still don't know why its that bad. Maybe I could try reseting the computers settings from it having regular gas run through it for the first 1000 km. I got its from the dealer with 450km on it and they gave it to me with a full tank of regular also?I would think over filling the oil wouldn't hurt it but, the motor was running great then after the first oil change at 5000 km, it started to act up and then they over filled it again. There is alot of carbon deposites coming out of the tail pipe. So bad that when water hits it, it runs back out black, durning washing the car. So I think there is something up with this motor.

after 4 trips to the dealership and nothing done except adding a fuel additive and clearing the codes i got the manager in the passenger seat and proceeded to drive full throttle right to redline thru 1st then 2nd gear. at first i was getting a p0304 code when engine light stayed on after the engine stumbled, then it was a p0302, and then a p0301. all of which are cylinder specific misfires, the last one was a flashing check engine light which indicates more serious condition than the steady check engine light. after driving a service tech manager around while he was plugged up to the engine he decided to check the spark plug on the misfiring cylinder which he then said appeared to have a red tint due to a fuel additive or octane boost. so i told him the only thing put in the tank was done in his shop. after replacing all 4 plugs it runs great only the tech guy wondered what made it need new plugs after only 4500 miles. the problem got worse at 3000 miles but i had noticed from the day i bought the car that acceleration wasn't smooth.

Oh Ya thats intressting but I am not getting any emgine light coming up. I am thinking that its running rich and thats why I am getting carbon diposites coming out of the tail pipe so bad that there is black stuff all over my bumper. I think the timing is off and has to be reset. But you were getting the engine light coming ob eh! I am not in this case but I know there is something up with it for sure when the gas mileage is that bad and the way it runs.
