Signature size guidelines

If you have images in your signature, please personally evalutate them at this time and remove/resize them.Images larger than Width-600px (pixels) and/or Height-250px are not appropriate.Please don't be upset if we contact you to remove and/or resize your signature/image.

Is there an actual number to use as a limit/guideline? Or is this only up to user speculation. Seems like a set of hard numbers would be best, IMO.

Sorry. Missed the 'larger' there. Thought it said 600 x 250 weren't acceptable. To which I thought "well then what is acceptable?" I'll just go sit in the corner silently now.
