thanks for the tip, but considering this is the only site I'm having issues viewing, I'll just wait for them to fix it on their end.ColonelPanic wrote: ↑Wed Jan 02, 2019 7:28 am I had the same last night (using a Chromebook that's on v70.something.)
Try in incognito mode / private browsing / whatever your browser may call it and see if the site looks normal. Incognito mode worked fine for me, so I assume there was something cached from the old site version that was causing problems.
I tried to get by with just clearing the cache, which made the page readable but the drop-downs were permanently extended and a lot of the buttons were missing on the interface for creating posts. Ultimately I had to delete cache and cookies/site data to get things to render properly.
yep!You mean anything like this?
yep!the drop-downs were permanently extended
yep!buttons for edit/quote/report/reply do not have any icons
Ok, finally decided to clear the cache. Seems to be ok now. Was definitely something I've never seen before.mkowdley wrote: ↑Wed Jan 02, 2019 3:56 pm When I was working on getting the upgrade done, I observed each of the three things mentioned above
However, by time I posted the OP, all three of them looked to be resolved. So it should be good to go, perhaps requiring a restart of browser or clearing of the cache. If you're still observing issues then please post here, but I'm seeing the three things described above as fixed (and I agree, all three of those problems were there at one point Tuesday afternoon).
I agree. I kinda like the new look.SeattleJeremy wrote: ↑Thu Jan 03, 2019 5:05 pm The new forum software looks great! Thanks for everything
I had the same problem with chrome on android until I cleared my cache. Tried to clear the cache for just genvibe, but that didn't fix it. clearing my entire cache did though, so maybe try thatihaveavibe wrote: This new software doesn't work as well on my iPad with Safari. I have drop down menus not going away for example.
Mike says he'll look into that this weekendihaveavibe wrote: Also, it seems I can no longer attach photos to posts.
