The "service reminder" email I got from the dealer that tore up things on my car when they did the airbag recall actually said that in the subject line:

How the note should have read:

Hi Ben,

>>Did you know that at our dealership, we employ only the finest of monkeys to destroy your car? Our trained monkeys fail to torque axle bolts, fail to properly secure wheel well liners, never put in the proper level of fluids, and put outer CV boots on your car without ever using fastener clamps on the control arm ensuring grease uniformly covers your undercarriage with that fresh from the showroom look. You'll always know that our trained monkeys have been hard at work on your vehicle because their greasy hand prints will be all over the inside of your car.<< Oh wait............that is only my car. Your results may vary.

Stop trying to give monkeys a bad name!

I made the mistake of giving a Toyota rep my e-mail at an auto show a few years back.

They sent me an e-mail thanking me for inquiring about the "Toyota Not Specified." And invited me to test drive the "Toyota Not Specified." And even gave me a quote for "$" on the "Toyota Not Specified."

No thanks.

Just one more reason why I stay as far away from dealerships as possible!

I got an email from Onstar during the free trial period after I yanked the factory radio. That's about the only diagnostic feature that works on the Vibe.

I'm sure I'll get one from Toyota, too, once the new airbags are ready for my wrecked car I no longer own. EDIT: and I did!

I got one from the Ford dealership I work at saying my Vibe, which I sold, is due for a 3,000 mile service.

Um, I'd be the person servicing it...that's the service line I work in...

I brought it up to the service adviser and joked to him to schedule me.
