So when my neighbors come banging on the door complaining of my hysterical laughing fit, can I blame genvibe???P.S. My first car had a tape deck, so all my CD's got put on to tape as soon as I bought them. Also, I'm 26. So not THAT old.

Still have all my cassettes. In fact, I'm more embarrassed by what's ON them, not the fact that I HAVE them. My generation seems to be the "bridge" between the tapes and CDs. I was alive when they first came out in mass production and I was in college when Napster hit. I'll be 32 in a month, and I still prefer pencils to pens. Ha!
Haha! As one who has yet to totally abandon analogue recording, my aging Tascam 4-track still requires me to unite pencil and cassette on occasion. Thankfully, my digital rigs are slowly moving in, but for some stuff just being able to track it out to tape quickly is so much easier. Wow, I never thought I'd feel old over something like this.
Well I come from when reel to reel tapes were recorded in Mono. I still own several reel to reels decks. then went to cassettes in the early seventies. I also have a prerecorded reel to reel tape of Abbey Road and the Concert for Bangla Desh. I have a Tandberg cassette deck and a Tandberg reel to reel deck. I have a lot of cassettes and CD's, as well as Reel to Reels tapes and VHS tapes.I also have a Sony CD recorder deck and changer. Not to mention I record a lot of DVD's for my collection. Stand alone CD and DVD recording decks are fading into history from what I am seeing. Sorry to see good old media go. Oh I forgot to say that I have a storage problem in this home.
