Some how my battery vent caps went missing...
Open hood to check oil level and notice caps missing..
How did this happened, why??

First thing that comes to mind is overcharging, causing a build up of pressure in the battery.

Did you get your oil changed by the "experts" at an oil change place lately? They could have messed with it.

I agree with the overcharging scenario. Check the alternator with the engine idling. It should put out about 14.2 volts with a fully charged battery.
