Resonator

Post by metaxa44 »

Hey Everyone,

A friend of mine gave me this Vibrent Performance resonator , but not sure if I want to get it installed...
#1: Not sure if I want my system disturbed, by cutting a section of pipe out ..
#2: Not sure what is the advantage of having it..
#3: Would this make the car sound better???
#4: Would performance of the car change???

Anybody done it , or have any expirience on this subject ???

1) What year Car do you have and which engine
2) The Resonator alone will not help with performance much, now a CAT-Back will some.
3) Not sure about the sound because just the resonator alone with the stock muffler should sound about the same

Read my SIG I have a Vibrant Resonator and Magnaflo muffler and 2.25" custom exhaust it only slighly louder and the performance...I cant say for sure.

a Resonator will make the system quieter, not by much but you will notice it... these are meant for use with aftermarket straight through mufflers most of the time, as they'll drown out the droning sound of an aftermarket muffer.

if you're still on the oem exhaust, then really there's no use for it as your system is already quiet.
