She was later taken to an area hospital, with non-life threatening injuries.Neighbours said the “older couple,†who live in the condo, were at work.“Someone came by to say how-de-do,†said Harley-Power jokingly explaining the crash to a curious bystander.This intersection is dangerous with cars that speed regularly, she added, with at least three collisions she can remember. She said the residents of the building had submitted a petition to their previous area councillor asking for a crosswalk to the bus stop across the road. But they were told that the traffic lights further up the road made it unnecessary, she said.“It (the crash) was scary,†said another neighbour, who only identified herself as Lily. “Thank God, nobody was hurt.â€ÂA crane and tow truck extricated the car from the stairwell, revealing a door that was relatively unscathed.Police are continuing to investigate.
