http://www.citytv.com/toronto/...photoQuote »Woman Struck By Car After Taking Photo2009/11/08 | CityNews.ca StaffA 28-year-old woman is in hospital after being hit by a car in the downtown core Sunday morningThe victim was part of a photography group on Lower Simcoe, south of Front Street and was struck when she stepped off a median and into the path of a Pontiac Vibe. She was taken to St. Michael's Hospital with life-threatening injuries."They were taking photos under the bridge," said Reg Eldridge of Traffic Services. "One of the photographers was out on the island taking shots of people on the sidewalk. When she was finished taking her shot she stepped off the island unaware of her surroundings and was struck by a motor vehicle coming under the bridge."Police say the driver was coming from bright sunlight into a dark tunnel."Pedestrians have to be aware of their surroundings and establish eye contact with drivers," noted Eldridge. "If you can't see the person's eyes it means they can't see you."Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 416-808-1900 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 416-222-TIPS (8477).obviously feel bad for the lady that got hit, but also for the viber who had some one step out in front in a bad place.

I don't understand that last line about "anyone with information, call CrimeStoppers"?It doesn't appear that the Vibe left the scene or anything like that, I wonder what additional information they are looking for?

They use it as a standard reply at the end of the police reports around here that if anyone else has seen anything to talk to police. I have seen that statement at the end of single car accidents with no injuries. It is almost like saying bless you after someone sneezes.
If God didn’t want us to eat meat, why did he make the cow so slow? (Ever eaten a cheetah-burger? Nope. And you never will.)
