Dunnville Autodrome

Post by chevelle_lover »

The boss bought me a race day package from http://www.trythat.ca and it was for dunnville autodrome and it was a blast. We got there early and there is a small museum featuring the old CFB Dunnville with a air worthy Harvard and DeHavilland Tiger Moth. There was suppose to be 10-12 drivers show up but the weather was threatening with rain all day and only 2 of us showed up. There was suppose to be an in class segement but since it was the two of us it was a 10 minute drive around the coarse and then let us loose for the rest of the 4 hours. This was a blast to flog the wee out of the car for the day. I took the Vibe since the truck was acting up and the Chevelle is not done yet but I will definately go back once I have it finished. The coarse has 11 or 13 turns and it is a heavy breaking coarse. You can really dive into the corner and since there is a lot of run off space hitting a wall is nothing to worry about. Two of the straight aways I was able to get the Vibe up to about 125 Km/h in the short distance. The only warning is make sure your brakes are in good shape. After about 20 hard laps my brake fluid was very warm and threatening to come out of the resoviour. I had to let the car cool for about 30 minutes between runs as even the rims were hot to the touch.I do not know if any of you guys in Toronto and Hamilton want a good place to play around with the car I would recommend going here. Those cone coarses in the parking lots are nothing compared to an actual race coarse. I have not had that much fun since I used to drag race.http://www.dunnvilleautodrome.com
If God didn’t want us to eat meat, why did he make the cow so slow? (Ever eaten a cheetah-burger? Nope. And you never will.)
