Don't forget, when the dollar rose to 1.10$ 18 months ago and canadians started to go car shopping south of the border, most car manufacturer modified their warranty contracts so that a car purchased in the USA would have no warranty in Canada.

Is it still worth even trying to do this with all the rebates and incentives on now?

I think some of the dealers had an implicit agreement in that regard - Dealer in Town A would not sell to a buyer from Town B and vice versa. In the late 60's my dad bought a Pontiac in a city about 70 miles away. The local dealer refused to do any warranty work. I think the only warranty claim was for a defective battery anyway. I wrote to GM and they did reimburse him the cost of a new battery. It seems that today dealers welcome warranty work no matter where you purchased.

It's a painful procedure with a lot of paperwork! But done correctly you can save a lot of money.http://www.riv.caMany dealers just across the line won't sell a car to Canadians. It's better to shell out a few bucks and go to a vehicle importer.Warranty??? Good luck!
