Going on Vacation in May to Pelee Region

We're taking a vacation in May to the Pelee/Leamington area for some bird watching at Point Pelee Provincial Park... Seems the hotels in Leamington are all booked up already. Anyone know how long does it take to drive from Chatham to Leamington? I'm thinking we might stay there and drive to Pelee.
