Crappy Weather!

Post by Sputnik »

Wow this is some really crappy weather we've gotten lately. My ceiling was leaking this morning when I got up (and my house is only 7 years old!). So my day's been pretty crappy. I figure that there's a ice dam on my roof which caused the melting snow and the rain to back up under the shingles. I called a roofing company and they came and removed the snow/ice buildup on the roof. Oh the joy. Its so slippery outside. I wore my "ice grippers" on my feet. Great things they are. I got them at Lee Valley.

I would so prefer -15 to the freezing rain and this freeze/thaw/freeze/thaw scenario we've got going.

I had a giant ice boulder from the freakin' plow at the end of my driveway. No cars could get in or out of my driveway. This thing was solid ice and 2 feet in diameter! I had to hack away at it for close to an hour before I got rid of it!
