Or - if you have a Great Canadian Superstore near you, their regular price for Mobil1 in the jugs is ~$26. That's where I buy mine all the time now.

according to the best oils chart we were shown last night in training at work, Mobil oil is number 1 for best lasting oil with the highest milage before oil breakdown. Castrol was at the bottom of the list... Guess who was in second place?Wal-mart brand oil lol.Of course all this was for regular oils but mobil was also number 1 in synthetic to. Whoo hoo. I've been using the best.

I've been using the best.I bet it is the *American* made Castrol that gets the bad reviews. Over at http://theoildrop.server101.com there are rave reviews of the *German* made Castrol (available in NAmerica). Now this oil is 0W-30 (which is a great replacement for 5W-30)....in fact ask Olympic, our Vibe taxi man who has had great success with Canada's own Esso XD3 0W-30 in his very high mileage Vibes. Now although 0W-30 can be used in our Vibes be aware that these particular oils dont have the true energy conserving seal of approval so technically in a pinch the Vibe's warranty might be affected. But anecdotally they are great.

This is easily a dollar less than at Wal-Mart or Canadian Tire.

Actually I just went and bought my latest 4.4L jug of M1 at Superstore ($25.72 + tax) and my Toyota Denso oil filter ($8 after tax).Happen to be in one of my local Wal-Marts later and notice they've got their jugs of M1 at $24.98!!!! Don't know if this is permanant, and/or just this store, but wow.

Btw, are the Denso filters the OEM filters for the Vibe?Quote, originally posted by Altus »Happen to be in one of my local Wal-Marts later and notice they've got their jugs of M1 at $24.98!!!! And I recall being in Walmart recently and I thought the prices were very similar to CTire.
