To get that on the '09 I think you would have had to buy a 2.4L. I suppose you could buy a fold flat seat - probably expensive. I looked at buying the captains chairs to replace the bench seat in my '07 T&C SWB and I think they were going to be $900 each. Maybe a junkyard? But junkyard prices are not cheap either.

This seems strange that they ever left it out. Wouldn't it be cheaper to only produce one passenger seat for the Vibe instead of two?

Exactly my point. Automakers are in trouble. Things like this, while not the cause, are also not part of the solution.

That's why they put all the hardware for fog lights except the lights themselves... The joys of marketing and convincing others of what you should have!
remember the side airbags are in the front seats. You'll need an 09/10 flipdown seat. I thought about how I'd have to have 09/10 leather seats if I ever went leather.
For 2010 it was possible to get the fold down seat with the 1.8 - but it was part of a separate package that included the cargo organizer and cover in the back. For me, on the '09 it was one of several deciding factors to go with the 2.4. I've used it to haul some 8ft lumber a couple of times now.Interestingly though - I don't think most dealers were aware of the separate option when they ordered their 2010's for stock. I looked at about 15 cars, and none of them were ordered with the cargo package.Of course, this is for Canadian cars only - U.S. may be entirely different. Almost pointless information now anyway.John
So, I "upgraded" this month to the 2009 vibe from a 2003, and just realized that the front seat doesn't fold flat....agggh. I still have my 2003. Anyone know if the front seat from he 2003 will fit in here?
