I got the convenience/cargo net for my 09 Vibe as a Chrismtas gift, but can't seem to figure out how it attaches to the car.I'm wondering if the cargo net that I got is for a different vehicle, or if I'm trying to install it incorrectly. I'm trying to put hook it up vertically, just inside the hatch door.It has four black plastic hooks, one in each corner of the net. The two on the bottom attach nicely to the metal rings on the floor of the cargo area, just inside the hatch. From what I can tell, there isn't anywhere to attach the upper two hooks because at that height, there are just the plastic clips that the cargo cover snaps into, and the hooks from the net don't fit into them.Does anybody else have this accessory? Any ideas would be appreciated!

I wonder if the dealer ordered the buyer of your gift the wrong year cargo nets. Such as 2003-2008 version? Notice the different points of attachments from the 1st Gen v.s. 2nd Gen Vibe.According to http://www.gmpartsdirect.com it shows the following part numbers:1. 2003-2009 Pontiac Vibe Cargo Area Net: GM PART # 12498132 2. 2009 Pontiac Vibe Cargo Area Net: GM PART # 19201900 Upon further inspection of http://www.pontiac.com the net that is available as an accessory for the 2009 Vibe does not have any hooks on it based on the picture: 2003-2008 Pontiac Vibe Cargo Area Net with Hooks: 2003-2008 Vibe Cargo Area 2009 Vibe Cargo Area

Thanks ou.grizzly - looks like you're probably right. I'll stop at the dealership tomorrow and hopefully get the right part!

Just a quick update.... the dealership was pretty helpful to me and they've ordered the part again - hopefull this time the right part gets shipped Now that I've looked a little closer at my car and the pictures of the right net (the one with the loops), I'm unsure of how it will attach to the car. Do you have any ideas?

Here is the net I got for my '09. It came with hooks. I also tried to see if it would attach "standing up" using the hook or more likely, the loop, but it was too tight. When I tried to see if it would work on the driver's side, it was much too long. The only way it works is flat. The pouch has a zipper. I figure I can put stuff underneath, inside or on top. I suppose if I really wanted it to be upright I could get some kind of extension hook and use that. Here is a close up of the hook.

I am still sad that it's not a "normal" cargo net. I thought it would be the same as the '03-'08 style pictured above .It sucks because the '09-'10s don't have the metal hooks up on top like the '03-'08s do. Instead we have plastic hanger hooks . Oh well, I guess it's a darn good thing we at least have the cargo organizer back there.
