I have friend who is a mechanic. He works on Ford (unfortunately) but is on friendly terms with the Pontiac mechanics at his dealership. If Toyota comes out with that option I'm sure he can find a way to make it work on my Vibe

i'm sure you can get the toyota one to work, but you could probably get an aftermarket alarm with remote start for the same price, or cheaper. i can't remember since i haven't had a vehicle with an alarm in years, but i think you can get an insurance break for having one

My dealer works with a reputable aftermarket installer in town who put in a remote start for $500. Unfortunately, you'll have to carry around 2 fobs nows.

I take it you work for a Pontiac Dealer, more than likely Somerset correct? By the pictures you posted of your vehicle, that is the dealer.

Seems kinda steep.

That is the cost from the dealer. It can be had for $2xx and some change and can install it yourself or have a buddy at Pontiac dealer do it. How is Mr. Rinke doing these days?

We are going well. Servicing Pontiac, GMC, Buick and Chevy helps

Is this the remote starter you get from Toyota in USA? I took this off the canadian toyota site...Is rated at 80ft... Is that enough? Doesn't look impressive at all~ But I do like factory stuff... As I had bad experience letting Bestbuy installing remote starter with my previous car...

I don't need no remote start. I have Vito go our and start my car. If it blows up, well that's his problem.
