Hello I have 2004 vibe and it got in accident. Front end damaged, windshield, and front door. Its 4wd and mileage around 75k. I found one for sale same year with 165k miles and bad transmission fwd for $800 is it hard to swap my power train and rear end to the one with good body
Oh, wait... I just wrote a whole post about how these cars are like LEGO, and go together easily. Then I noticed you found a FWD car to swap in to. That's a no go.
The Engine, and transmission are different. The mounting points for the transmission back are different. The entire rear subframe is different. The gas tank is different. Swapping a good AWD drive train in to a straight FWD car is not worth it. There is way too much work involved.
