If you get a turbo or supercharger and don't constantly gun it, you can improve your mileage by quite a lot. This is why many auto manufacturers are starting to use turbocharged I4 engines.
But you can't really further tune your car without further, VERY costly mods. As said, you cannot tune the stock ECU. You can't turbo/run boost on the stock ECU because it will always try to get back to running the way it is supposed to and end up wrecking the engine.
You CAN get an aftermarket piggyback or stand-alone, that's $200-600 or $1200-2800.
