trans issues, like the recall but mine is a 04??

been having trans issues, from engaging into 1st then into second, all is well from second up, sometimes it shudders around 40ish, changed fluid with toyota t-iv or whatever it is, issue stayed the same. was told something about a solenoid, but im getting the code from the engine light they list in the recall and basically i think its the faulty pcm, toyota did issue a recall but my car was excluded due to it not being a 2005+ year model.
mine is a late 04 build and the pcm part number in the car is the one thats listed as faulty, am i correct?

pcm says 89661-01060

A 03-04 isn't part of the recall. Post the code. This only came about with Drive By Wire (DBW) cars 05+. Being a 04 it is should be a Drive By Cable (DBC).
