Wouldn't hurt to have a mechanic listen to it! You did check the oil, right?

These engines have solid lifters instead of hydraulic. Therefore there is always just a little looseness in the valve train that causes the noise. See:

The noise is normally louder at startup or when the weather is cold. In cold weather it may take 10 miles for the engine to fully warm.
