I don't think so. The guy on MO said it fit great and all.

I'm sure your Vibe would appreciate such a nice birthday gift :P!

I just installed this on my 2010 vibe. I bought it on amazon for $250. Only issue I ran into is the mass air sensor wiring is a little on the short side so you can't really run it totally out of the way. It connects fine, but it isn't the cleanest look with the wiring right next to the air filter. I'm sure this could be fixed, but I just put it in yesterday and it really doesn't bother me. Overall, I'm happy with the look and sound, and it got me outside to work on the car.

Aside from what it may mean for having to clean and re-oil the filter, is there any good reason to not buy one of these CAIs used? Someone's asking $250 CAD (~$205 USD) for a gently used one they took off their Corolla to sell; figure it may be worth it for closer to $150 CAD (~$125 USD). Can't be too much to go wrong with it, no?

I say go for it! It looks like it's in really good shape...

FWIW, I prefer AEM's Brute Force Dryflow filter because it does not require oil which can mess with the MAF sensor.

Thanks. Will check out that filter if I get the CAI. My $190 CAD / $153 USD offer was refused so now I wait...

Got it! I sanded and repainted a few rust spots on the exterior of the heat shield but it was otherwise in great shape.

The AEM 21-202DK is a bit smaller than the K&N RU-4960 that comes with the kit, but should do the trick, no? Do you also use a pre-filter wrap?

The filter I have is AEM #21-203BF which I believe, is a tad larger than the #21-202 and should match up better to the K&N. Also, a heads up, the AEM Brute Force filter, like I have, is grey. Any of AEM's filters that have DK in the part number are red. Just a heads up. Personally, the red filter is way too flashy for me.

Yes, I do have an AEM filter wrap too. AEM #1-4000 for a black one with a yellow AEM Dryflow logo. Another heads up, the yellow stood out way too much for my liking, so I used a black Sharpie Rub-A-Dub laundry marker to "blackout" the logo. It looks so much better. Let me know if you have any other questions.

I pressed 'go' before reading your post. The 21-202DK is smaller than the K&N in flange length (by 13mm) and height (by 7mm), and larger in top outside diameter (by 3mm). Flange inside diameter is the same. I'll wait 'til I see it and do a visual comparison before making a final call but I'm leaning towards 'close enough'...
