Wierd noise

I've searched on the site for this and I haven't come up with an answer. This only happens when my engine is cold. When I start it up then put it in drive I hear a noise that sounds like a rock hitting a tin can. I've never heard it before and I'm not really sure where its coming from. Any ideas?

Reverse also?Mine made a similar noise and I had the belt tensioner pulley replaced and that fixed it.Good luck!

most likely it's a heat shield rattling, very common

Ill have a look at the pulley and i would have checked the heat shield but i dont have one. i have a dc header on. im going to take a closer look today since im off work. ill let yall know if i find out anything.

on my 03 AWD, it was a heat shield over the transmission that was the culprit, surely you have one of those. (yes, i called you shirly)
