Stereo: Adding USB to 2009 Vibe

Post by Daniel1135 »

Greetings all, great community here.

Quick question: is there a fast way to add a USB function to the stereo of a 2009 Vibe? I used to own the 2009 Matrix, and I use the USB function play audio books while a drive. I was surprised see the Vibe doesn't have this.

Is it possible to get a 2009 Matrix Stereo and switch it out to add the function? or is there any USB port in the back of the original stereo?

Thanks for your help!

The matrix radio will not work in the vibe. the vibe uses GM radio and components whereas the matrix uses Toyota. It may be possible with some sort of adapter harness. But for the effort that would take, I'd just look at an aftermarket radio.
