Tpms question

Post by chevman-67 »

Can anyone tell me what cars and years used the same tpms sensors as the 09 vibe? I have lots of used auto wreckers near me and I might be able to save a few bucks. These sensors are not cheap to buy new btw.my light came on and have 1 bad sensor. Just want to replace it cheap and take it in to have it reprogrammed at dealer to get this annoying light off. Thx for any help guys. I know the matrix is the sister car to the vibe but is there other cars that use the same sensors as the 09 vibe? And what years do they fit? I know mine are made by Pacific.

I was also looking into TPMS info since I just picked up an 09 and three of the valve stems had metal caps corroded on bad enough that I twisted off two valve stems.

I am not sure if this is 100% accurate, but looking at the Denso part on Rockauto, they show these models using the same p/n. Hoping I can just replace the aluminum valve stem instead of the whole sensor.

If your just talking about the outer screw on cap that holds it in the rim you should be able to find them at a local tire shop I'm sure as they are always replacing old 1s for new 1s. I agree I wouldn't want to buy a whole sensor for just the aluminum sleeve.

Just disable it. I did both our 09 GTs quite a few years ago. It's super easy and is 100% reversible. We got new tires in 2015 and I just had plain old rubber valve stems installed. It's been great, one less thing to have to deal with.
