Hello from Rocklin Ca

Post by STREETFIGHTER50 »

Hello everyone! My name is Nic. We just picked up a 2006 Vibe to replace our wrecked 2011 Civic. I was really lucky. Got it from the original 87 year old owner. Has been garaged with only 90k miles on the clock. Some blemishes here and there on the exterior and some stains and hair in the interior, but all original and no leaks whatsoever. Had to drive 150 miles to get it, but we are really happy! Gonna start on all the clean up and maintenance right away :)

Welcome to genvibe!

Your Vibe was built at the NUMMI plant in Freemont, just about 2 hours away from Rocklin. Practically a homecoming! ;)

Welcome, Streetfighter50!
I have a feeling you've got a great deal on a great car!
By the way it is rather easy to pull the carpet out for a super clean. Since you said there is a lot of hair I have to ask: does the old man still have any, or is it dog hair?

Wow I forgot to post pics! Damn hella late lol! Well here’s pics after we got it detailed. As of today we’ve already put on 30k trouble free miles! My wife liked the Vibe so much that a few months ago we bought another one for us. A white 2007 with only 86k miles. Then we went looking for another Vibe for my cousin
and last night we picked up another one. A silver 2004 with 218k miles. I was hesitant to buy the ‘04 at first because of the high mileage, but when I inspected/drove it I swear it feels just like it was new! Very tight and smooth. Not a single drop of any fluids. All highway miles and the owner kept up with all the maintenance with new brakes, tires, oil change, and battery just last Valentines Day. Got it down for only $2k from the original owner/all original clean title. One of these days I’ll get all 3 Vibes together for a few pics :)

Better late than never :P!

That's so cool to hear that you ended up with a second Vibe and found one for your cousin! They are such versatile little vehicles!
