something vibrating behind dash/instrument cluster

Ever since I bought the vibe whenever there's a bump or when I shift gears I hear a buzz/spring sound from what appears to be coming from the vicinity behind the dash and radio(has aftermarket radio). at first I thought it was something electrical but it does it in park, engine off and if I manually shift gears firm I can duplicate the sound. any body has a similar experience? I temporary just drown it out with music lol.

the sound is somewhat similar to the flexible bottom door stopper and someone bends it and it flops around but more zappy and higher pitch.

Could be a loose wire in the aftermarket radio wiring harness. Ideally these harnesses should be taped up to prevent rattling, but most installers don't.

hmm I don't think a loose wire would make this particular sound. I did youtube on how to remove the dash cluster so I will have to see what's behind there and what might be loose.

I don't know of any spring in the dash that might get agitated by a bump of a hard shift.

I once had a screw work out of one of the bent metal dash supports (actually both screws), and the metal piece fell out ( viewtopic.php?f=29&t=4700#p433324 ), perhaps you had something like that and there's a metal support rod somewhere in the dash that is no longer attached on one end
