New Powerstop Brakes Finally

Post by korax234 »

Well I finally got around to putting new brake pads and rotors on....

Video of 60 to 0 tests compared to stock... https://youtu.be/0g_GNjT2TcI

Unboxing them video... https://youtu.be/BNmdW4RdLZc

I should have got the powder coated calipers but I didn't. I did the bedding procedure per Powerstop and this morning
it sounded warped when little brake pressure was applied and when it was warmer outside on the way home from work
it still did it but not as loud/bad.

So I ordered all the calipers and if it doesn't fix the problem I'm screwed lol.
I don't think the rotors are warped it seems more like a caliper problem. The old rotors were jacked up and the wheel would shake when braking.
And now it doesn't do that.

Saw your video and it was good test. Your viseo also reminded me I needed new Rotors so I bought myself a pair on CARiD along with some aftermarket rims I have been wanting.

You would feel warped rotors, not hear them. If you had no pulsation in the pedal there should be no warp. In fact most warp is actually thickness variation rather than potato chip warp.

I cannot tell from the video what your "problem" is.
