Nice! Which struts did you go with? What did you end up doing to fix the whine? I have it too and am trying to decide if I want to fool with it (change bearings, etc.) or let someone else do it without trying to get me to replace the whole rear diff.Gmr102 wrote:There she is. This is the day that we got her. Named her ruby. I have since had the headlights cleaned up, put new tires on,changed all the fluids, replaced the front struts and fixed that darn viscous coupling whine and the tickling blend door motor.
I went with Monroe quick struts. I have Monroe products on my Tacoma as well and they held up just fine so I figured I would give them a shot on the vibe as well. They have been good so far. No issues ride quality has improved for sure. The viscous coupler was actually easier than I expected. However I have a shop here where I live that lets you rent a lift and tools from them. So that's why it was easier. This video goes over what needs to be done to fix it.ehoff121 wrote:Nice! Which struts did you go with? What did you end up doing to fix the whine?
