Hello! I'm the new kid on the block. We own Zippy, an 09 Vibe with a 2.0 and now 108,000 miles and I'm looking for some help with a new issue. There was a rattle coming from the steering column and after reading several posts on here, I decided to do process of elimination and removed the intermediate steering shaft to find the noise coming from elsewhere. Not sure if it's related but immediately after putting the shaft back in I took it for a drive and upon accelerating to 10 mph, an alarm went off, the trac control light came on and the front wheels felt like they were bogging down. The only other similar experience I had was with an 03 Chrysler that I attempted to drive with a donut spare. Didn't go very far with that. Seems more electronic than mechanical. Any ideas about what it might be? THANKS!
