Gas tank door HELP! 03 vibe gt

I just aquired an 03 moon n tunes mono abyss black. Anyways... The fuel door was broken off at the hinges. The actual hinge itself is broken. It looks to me like its held on with two rivets? Do i need to drill these out to get a replacement hinge put on? If anyone has gone throughbthis process please help. I dont like having my gas tank exposed to anyone and everyone!

Without taking a look myself, it sounds like you've hit the nail on the head.

It probably broke because these fuel doors seem to get stuck if the hinge isn't lubricated every once and awhile.
When I got mine it was hard as heck to open. I put some WD-40 on it moved it back and forth a few times
and it opens real easy now. The fuel door is bent from the previous owner, that's how hard you had to pull to open it.
