I am a musician and play drums and also upright bass. For the last nine years I have had a 1997 Merc Sable wagon. Love the Sable, the seats fold FLAT and it's easy to load. I put one transmission in it at 120k miles, and when the tranny failed again at 192k, I began searching for another 2000 or older Ford wagon. That seemed to be the only thing big enough besides a minivan. My mechanic said I'd probably be buying another bad tranny, recommended a Honda or Toyota product and then told me about his Vibe. Turns out he's a drummer too and loves the way he can easily load his drums. That sold me and I knew what to start looking for. During my search, I came across this forum and began reading all about how people love their Vibe(s). It reminded me of the way air cooled VW folks love their cars. This has to be a great car. So I searched and found my Vibe, a 2006 automatic with 141k on it, had my mech check it out, and grabbed it that day. It is perfect! Looked at Matrix too, but frankly didn't want to stare at a Toyota horn button logo for the rest of my life. So here's one more happy Vibe owner. A great car for the working musician!
Welcome and congrats on your new Vibe! The cargo capacity is one of the main reasons we got my son's Vibe as he was in a band during high school and it had plenty of space for most of their equipment and 2 of his friends. Plenty of room for sure!
Good luck with it!
