New Forged Wheels!

Post by Moustache03GT »

Hi y'all!

So, after some Craigslist scrounging, I was able to find a killer set of forged wheels with almost new tires for my new Vibe.....and here she is!

The wheels are WORK Emotion CR's, 17x7.5, wearing 225/45/17 rubber. The tires are cheapies, but I'll run them for a year or so while I get my suspension where I want it. I picked up the set for $800, so I'm feeling pretty good about that. The rims are about 8-10 years old, and they do have some nicks and chips, but very little rash.

The main thing is, they're light. Really light. Like I laughed when I picked one up it was so light. Really looking forward to doing the brakes now though; the calipers look horrible under these wheels! Here's a shot where its a bit more clear.

I'm doing a nice little trip back to my homeland of Door County, WI this weekend; I'll be sure to post some beauty shots of the car. Have a happy and safe Memorial Day, everyone!

Those wheels are gems and the blue lug nuts are a nice touch on a Neptune Vibe, very nice!

I don't normally like most aftermarket wheels, but those do look good on your Vibe! Congrats on the purchase.

I'm not a huge fan of the blue lug nuts, but the bronze / gold wheels do look sharp against the Neptune paint! Vibe's looking great! Keep it up ;)!
